Mobiles Marketplace is an online multi-vendor marketplace where individuals or private limited companies can register as sellers to solely sell mobile phones. This privacy policy aims to elucidate the usage of any personal data collected, means of collecting the data and the protection of your personal information on our website.

 

1.1 What data do we collect?

Your personal data collected includes First and last name, email address, phone number, Billing and shipping addresses, your IP address and browser user agent string also any media mainly product images by registered sellers. To ensure data protection and secure payments your payment information is processed via third party payment processors like Amazon pay, Paypal or Sripe. However, we collect Bank account details for all the registered sellers on our marketplace this includes Bank account name, name of the bank, account number and sort code. This is merely to allow sellers to withdraw funds from their available balance to their bank accounts

1.2 How do we collect your data?

Most of your personal information data is collected only when you sign up for a customer or a seller account on our marketplace or when you contact us via our contact form and if you make a purchase as a guest. For registered sellers bank account details are collected when they add their withdraw payment details in their account settings.

1.2.1 Comments

When you leave a comment on our website the data in the comment, your IP address and browser user agent string are collected to aid spam detection.

1.2.2 Media

Images are only collected when uploaded on our website. Please be advised any images comprising embedded location data (EXIF GPS) should not be uploaded as all images on our website are publicly accessible so anyone visiting our website can download them.

1.3 How do we process your personal data?

We use your personal data mainly to process any order you place with us, to stay connected to you, to seek any valuable feedback in order to improve our services; to provide you an easy access to our website to buy or sell from, to keep you updated about the status of the order/s you make on our website; to interact with sellers for order management purposes, to provide customer service or support and to identify any fraudulent or illegal activity. We never share your information with any third parties except third party payment processing companies like PayPal or Amazon pay or if we are obliged by law to do so, the latter to the extent permitted by applicable law without your consent. For instance if there is a suspicion of fraudulent or any illegal activity associated with your account.

Your personal information like name, phone number, shipping and billing addresses are also shared with the relevant sellers and delivery service providers to enable them to deliver the purchased products to customers. However this information isn’t shared until you place an order.

We never sell your personal information to any third party however, there are few exceptions merely to allow any third party, that has a contractual agreement with us , to fulfill its contractual obligations to us and they are obliged to take correct security measures to protect this data also they are strictly not allowed to share this information with any other third party.

1.4 How long do we store your data for?

Any personal data stored on our marketplace complies with data protection laws. Unless there is a legal obligation to keep your personal data longer, your data will be kept for 3 months after your account is deactivated or deleted, during this period your data will not be processed by us in any way.

2. Personal Data Protection

We assure you that we strive hard to protect your personal data and we do this by using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) which encrypts the communication data as well as several other security measures which due to our security policy cannot be disclosed publicly. In order to avoid debit card or credit card data thefts, we take payments from trusted processors such as Amazon Pay, Stripe or PayPal to allow our customers to securely make payments .

3. Marketing

We retain your shopping history and use details of the products you have purchased to suggest you, via email or SMS, other products which you may be amenable to purchase and also if there are any special offers which we believe you may be interested in purchasing. This only applies if you permit us to do so which is done by accepting our privacy policy, otherwise you may opt out at any time.
