Mobiles Marketplace is an online E-commerce website on which one can buy or sell mobile phones in a safe and secure manner. Most devices listed on our site are not sold by us, but we aim to regularly review the listings on our site to ensure all of our sellers adhere to the terms and conditions that we set out.

Our main aim is to offer lower selling fee than eBay and Amazon so that you can earn higher commission and easily create listings as Mobiles Marketplace is solely dedicated to the sales of mobile phones . Besides our low selling fee and easy to navigate site we also want the users to feel secure using our site hence we regularly take thorough security measures to prevent any fraudulent activity.

2. Accuracy of information on our site

We strive to ensure that all devices listed by sellers are accurately described; however, in some cases the description, attributes or specification may not match to the device listed in which case you are entitled to a full refund, provided that you submit the refund request within 14-days of delivery. We may disapprove or remove any listed device(s) and user account(s) if there is a suspicion of a fraudulent activity associated with any of the sellers or customers accounts or if we doubt the credibility of any seller as a result of listing devices with erroneous description, however in case of such an event the seller will be notified beforehand.

3. Terms of sale

Any order placed on our site is subject to a payment approval process by third party payment gateway processors and it may be rejected due to not having enough funds, wrong payment details or due to an unusual activity or if there is a suspicion of fraud.

4. Payment terms

We take security very seriously hence we only choose trusted third-party payment processors like Paypal or Stripe etc. In order to minimize frauds we hold the payments until the device arrives to the customer and it is only released into the seller’s account when the customer has received its item.

5. Shipping

Shipping cost is always included in the listed price, so it is displayed as free for all the listed devices and the method of shipping depends on different sellers, however this is usually displayed on the product page under shipping tab.

6. Our liability

We endeavour to ensure that our site is fully secure for storing and processing our users data and activities. We also ensure to give you full access to your account and the website to buy or sell from at all times, but due to the nature and operation of the internet and the web servers, the site may go down at times this may also happen when the site undergoes maintenance, repairing or due to integration of new features; however, we work hard to keep it as short as we can.

We do hold ourselves liable for any losses that may be caused by any breach on our part; otherwise, we are not liable for your business losses: be it loss of revenue, profit or wasted expenditure.

As it is a multi-vendor marketplace the sellers themselves are liable for dispatching and getting the package delivered in the condition as described on the product page, however if there are any issues with this process you may contact us and we will intervene and take appropriate actions.

7. Affiliate and informational links

You may find links to other third-party websites which include affiliate links or other informational links. We are not responsible for any activity on such sites hence it is your duty to be aware of the policies and terms and conditions set out by them.

8. Sellers rating and reviews

Customers may rate the sellers or leave a review on the purchased devices depending on their experience. Should you feel any of your customers are spreading misinformation related to the devices being sold by you or they are being biased in any way you can let us know as soon as possible so that we can ensure your business is not affected due to any false review on any of your listed devices or your overall rating as a seller. However, you will need some sort of proof to make such a claim.

9. Rules for customers

It is every customer’s right to receive the device as listed and if it is not the case then as all the orders are covered by our money back guarantee, they can submit a refund request within 14-days of the delivery date.

In case the delivered device does match its listed description or condition, you should take and keep photographic evidence as you may be asked to provide those to support your claim.

Having mentioned all that, we do want to ensure our customers that we care about them and we are quite generous when it comes to returns but we must also prevent any fraudulent activities from taking place on our site so we are bound to investigate the matter thoroughly in some cases.

10. Rules for Sellers

As it is a multi-vendor marketplace, once the order is made the sellers must dispatch the item to the customer and they are held liable for any damage to the item until it is delivered. The seller must also make sure the item matches the listed description and the condition.

All sellers are expected to abide by following rules:

  • Accurately describe the listed device(s) condition and/or add any other relevant description that the customer should know before making a purchase.
  • Get the device delivered within the estimated delivery period and also in the condition as stated in the listing, matching the original description.
  • Respond to customer queries via support tickets within a reasonable period of time (within 24 hours ideally).
  • Respond to ANY email(s) from us within 48 hours.
  • Let us know straightaway if they are unable to dispatch the device for any reason, please note this will affect your credibility unless you notify us before it is sold.
  • Contact us if you believe the customer is making false claims without any evidence.
  • Stick to your Warranty Policy (RMA) if you offer warranty on any of the devices you sell on our site and respond to all the warranty requests within a reasonable period of time.

Please note that sellers are required to agree to our Returns policy which allows customers to make a refund request within 14 days of delivery, provided that they have a legitimate reason for their refund requests. The refund requests are usually processed directly by us; however, the seller will be notified as soon as a customer submits a refund request and they can raise a dispute should they believe the customer is making false claims or if they have any other valid reason.

11. Selling restrictions

Anyone can sell on our site be it individuals or private limited companies both can register as sellers to solely sell mobile phones; however, we do not allow any other product to be sold on our site and if any seller tries to list any product other than mobile phones then the listing will be taken down, without notice, immediately.

12. How Sellers get paid

All sellers are paid via bank transfer, however to get paid all sellers have to submit a withdraw request from their dashboard which can be done once the balance appears in their dashboard.

Your balance appears in withdraw section of your dashboard as soon as your order is complete, in other words, when the item has been delivered to the customer. We acquire this information using the tracking number you provide us hence it is important to provide us the tracking details for all your orders. If your delivery method does not include the tracking facility you still need some sort delivery proof for us to release your funds. Generally, it is a good practice to choose a tracked delivery method.

13. Payment Transfer Period

After you submit a withdraw request, we put your funds on hold for a security period of 14 days, for some sellers it is shorter depending upon your seller class.

13.1 Different Seller Classes:
  • New seller: selling, in average, less than 5 devices a month.
  • Growing seller: selling, in average, more than 5 devices a month.
  • Firm seller: Selling, in average, at least a device a day.
  • Top rated seller: Selling, in average, more than 5 devices a day.
13.2 Withdrawal approval period:
  • New seller: Up to 14 days.
  • Growing seller: Up to 10 days.
  • Firm seller: Up to 5 to 7 days.
  • Top rated seller: within 24 to 48 hours.

Please note: your seller account class may change every month.

These classes are introduced solely for security reasons as statistically most fraudulent activities are associated with new seller accounts as compared to established sellers; however, the funds retained with us belong to you and we never invest or use them for any of our business expenses.

14. Returns

Biggest concern that customers, using any online marketplace, have is whether or not the listed products match their original description, here on Mobiles Marketplace we strive to ensure that the mobile devices you receive fully match their listed description, however if your device is not what was described in the listing then:

  • Submit the refund request, from your orders page, within 14 days of the delivery date describing the reason for your return request.
  • We usually respond within 24 hours and immediately act on your request.
  • You should take and keep photographic evidence as we may ask you, in some cases, to provide us evidence to support your claim.
  • Please note if your refund request is approved, you as a buyer needs to pay for the postage to send the device back to the seller.
  • We highly value our customers and in case of any query, doubts or anything else you can always email our support team and they usually get in touch within 24 hours.

Very rarely, we may refuse your refund request should we feel you do not have a legitimate reason for your refund request or if we find out that you are making a false claim or involved in any fraudulent activity but it is rare.

15. Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or Warranty Requests

Some devices may come with a year or two warranty. Sellers normally describe their warranty terms and conditions on the product page so be sure to read the product description or contact the seller for clarification.

16. Our Money Back Guarantee

Our main aim is to make our customers feel 100% confident buying any device from our site and we take the return requests very seriously, so if you have a good reason for a refund then we will refund your order straightaway.

Please note the money back guarantee is only for 14 days of delivery date, so if you believe your device is not as described please submit the refund request as soon as possible.

All content whether it be text, sliders, logos, button icons, images, data compilations, and software, is the property of Mobiles Marketplace or from third party providers with valid license and it is all copyright protected.

Any complaints about items or sellers may be sent to our support team: complaint@mobilesmarketplace.co.uk. There is no guarantee of a resolution. Each case will be looked at individually, and the sellers will be in contact as well.
